What Is the Alexander Technique?

Not posture correction, but a way of recognizing habitual responses and becoming available to new possibilities in movement, relationship, and life.

Recognize Habitual Responses

Become aware of the familiar patterns that shape how you think, move, and respond.

Withhold Definition

Allow new information and possibilities to emerge without reinforcing the familiar way you define yourself.

Move from Where You Are

Allow movement to emerge from the support available where you are, in relationship with the world around you.
